THE BAND

Rick Allen- Lead Vocals, Keyboards
Former lead vocalist/keyboard player and founder of STYX tribute band GRAND ILLUSION (the opening band for national acts like CHEAP TRICK & HONEYMOON SUITE, when they toured locally). Rick has also sang lead and played boards in DR. NO as well as several other top bands over 30 years, including PINNACLE, THE NIGHT, ROCK QUARRY, and the SCORPIONS tribute band BLACKOUT. Rick also released a well-received solo recording FORBIDDEN LOVE in 1994 in limited release.
Occasionally leaving the keyboards at home, Rick is also currently the lead singer/front man for the local original hard rock band BONE DEEP with THE NEW GUYS guitarist Joe Perrigo.
Rick enjoys singing lead and playing the keys for bands he considers worthy of the energy and emotional commitment it takes to bridge the gap between the audience and the band's performance, and it is his firm belief, THE NEW GUYS is just that caliber band, worthy of his talents.
Rick is a 4 time winner at the Buffalo Music Awards.

Joe Perrigo- Guitar, Vocals
Joe Perrigo has been a perennial favorite among southern tier bands on and off for the last few years and is currently the guitarist for local original hard rock band BONE DEEP, with THE NEW GUYS' lead singer, Rick Allen.
As with many guitarists, Joe’s influences include the usual cast of icons, like Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Joe Satriani, but he also admits being swayed by the likes of Gary Moore, and Robin Trower.
In the 1990's, Joe was working the gulf coast oil rigs by day, and spending most of his off hours when he was on dry land, as a fixture in the local New Orleans music scene playing in the many bars that surrounded his home in the French Quarter, picking up technique and performance chops from the very melting pot of true homegrown rock.
Now living back in Western New York, from pop to rock, Joe has performed in country bands like WHISKEY RIVER that was honored to perform at a Brookes & Dunn after-party recently, as well as the locally popular classic rock band FRIENDS.
Joe’s deep blues inspirations from his years down south, flavoring his hard rock style, combine to present an instinct and feel that has added new life and enthusiasm to the band’s cover music.
